Aug 16, 2019 · In Spain when we love something, we only say me encanta. The verb “amar” is barely used, and the only context would be to express true love to your family and partner, so only with people! But there’s a difference in use among Spanish speaking countries. When loving people, in Latinamerica is very common to use te amo. I think I understand the literal meaning. But I want to ask the cultural difference between these two love expressions ("Tu me encantas" vs "Te Amo") in Puerto Rico specifically. I know "Te Amo" means very serious romantic love. Would appreciate if Puerto Ricans could answer. I just started dating a Puerto Rican man here in Puerto Rico. Can someone explain the difference a bit more? Which one would be appropriate between a parent and a child? 0 comments. share. Aug 30, 2019 · Please show me examples with ~~. Ask something else.
